To celebrate the festive season, the Malta-based humanitarian organisation donated 206 panettones to families, children and residents of migrant centres on the island
Malta, 13th December 2024. With the festive season just around the corner, MOAS-Migrant Offshore Aid Station, remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering empathy and supporting the most vulnerable communities in the world following a year marked by global challenges and conflicts.
In the spirit of Christmas and in line with humanitarian values, MOAS is pleased to announce that they donated 206 “panettone” (a seasonal sweet made in Italy) to everyone, including all families and children residing in the AWAS-run migrant centres in Hal Far. The donation of panettones symbolises MOAS’ dedication to spreading joy and hope during the holiday season.

By sharing these traditional Italian cakes, MOAS highlights the importance of compassion and solidarity in overcoming adversity. Such initiatives bring joy to individuals and raise awareness about the ongoing struggles refugee communities face.
